Sinfonietta Cracovia
We refreshed the brand image and implemented a SUPER* website for the Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Krakow, so that they could proudly reach new audiences.
Project context
Sinfonietta Cracovia, a renowned cultural institution with a thirty-year history, struggled with a lack of visibility and brand consistency in the urban space. The organisation's website also needed a breath of fresh air, as the previous version had a complicated navigation structure and long loading times. The difficult user experience caused frustration for both administrators and end users – the audience and supporters.
As part of our collaboration, we designed a modern and functional website that uses a refreshed visual identity concept. We implemented the website using the intuitive Webflow CMS system, which significantly facilitated the management of the website by the institution's employees and streamlined the process of purchasing concert tickets.

Strategy-based design
We began work on the website with a three-day discovery workshop, involving a team of 12 brand ambassadors – management, administrative staff and artists. Such a comprehensive working group allowed us to gain a thorough understanding of the client's needs and problems.
Thanks to the workshops, we got to know the target group, determined the scope of the offer and the value proposition, i.e. the elements necessary for the well-thought-out implementation of the website. This helped to build a solid foundation for further design decisions, which allowed for efficient and effective further work.
Since some of the users are also Orchestra employees, one of the tasks was to improve the efficiency of content management. The proposed migration from Wordpress to Webflow CMS was welcomed by the team, and the content added with on-site SEO in mind had a positive impact on positioning.

An analysis of the existing website's data showed that a significant proportion of its audience and users are people over the age of 40. Therefore, when designing the new version of the website, we paid particular attention to issues related to accessibility and readability of content. Appropriate text size and hierarchy, as well as contrast settings that meet WCAG standards, have helped improve user experience and SEO positioning.
The website was designed to be minimalist and simple. At the same time, the task was to emphasise the elegance that characterises this cultural institution, as well as the dynamism and quality of its offerings. In the website design, we used elements of the new identity we created as part of our work on Sinfonietta Cracovia's branding – modern and elegant typography and a gradient that adjusts its shape and colour depending on the content presented in the layout.
Taking advantage of the possibilities offered by implementing websites on Webflow, we have introduced custom solutions such as an interactive background that follows the user's cursor and a concert mode (dark mode), which allows you to switch to a dark colour palette and avoid the effect of brightening the space, e.g. when viewing the concert programme on your phone.

Project outcome
The new website attracted more than twice as many visitors in its inaugural season, with the number of new users increasing from 9,000 in the 2021/22 season to 19,500 in the 2022/23 season (according to Google Analytics data for the period September–June).
In addition, consistent identification visible in urban spaces and social media channels helped build brand recognition, which influenced interest in the offer, ticket sales, and the establishment of agreements with business partners.
